Antique Map East Indian Islands by Chatelain titled ‘Carte des Indes, de la Chine & des Iles de Sumatra, Java’.

A very fine black and white early 18th century map of South-east Asia and the East Indian Islands by the French geographer Henri Abraham Châtelain (1684-1743) in near mint condition. The map was published in Volume V of Chatelain’s Atlas historique between 1705 -1720.

Near mint condition, the only blemish being a very small tear (2 mm) at the centre-point of the horizontal and vertical map fold (repaired with archival tape); measures 502 x 482 mm.
