Attic black-figure terracotta lekythos with the a scene of a “Hoplite leaving Home” showing mother or wife presented shield to the warrior reminiscent of the Sparta promise to “Either return with the shield or on it “

Intact, good condition with chipping in back that does not distract from the art work.
