Antique Print of a Chinese inhabitant of Makassar titled ‘AOTAHI CHINOIS HABITANT MAKASSAR/(Iles Celebes)’. 

A very fine mid-19th century lithograph of a traditionally dressed Chinese inhabitant of Makassar in the Celebes engraved and lithographed by Bayot, printed by Lemercier of Paris and published in Paris by Gide between 1846 and 1855 in Voyage au pole sud et dans l’Oceanie: sur les corvettes l’Astrolabe et la Zelee: execute par ordre du roi pendant les annees 1837, 1838, 1839, 1840 sous le commandement de J.Dumont d’Urville. Zoologie by Jacques Bernard Hombron and Charles Hector Jacquinot (1796-1879).
