Print with unidentified crab species. This engraved plate originates from: ‘D’Amboinsche Rariteitkamer, behelzende eene beschryvinge van allerhande zoo weeke als harde schaalvisschen, te weeten raare krabben, krefften, en diergelyke zeedieren, als mede allerhande hoorntjes en schulpen, die men in d’Amboinsche Zee vindt: daar benevens zommige mineraalen, gesteenten, en soorten van aarde, die in d’Amboinsche en zommige omleggende Eilanden gevonden worden.’, by Georg Everhard Rumphius, 2nd. ed. published by Jan Roman de Jonge, Amsterdam, 1741. The first ed. was published in 1705. This famous, classical work deals with marine life of the Moluccas, Indonesia.
