Description

Antique map of Batavia by Salmon titled ‘A Plan of the City and Castle of Batavia’. Plan of the city and fortifications of Jakarta, the capital of the Dutch East Indies. A detailed lettered key identifies the buildings and sites of importance. Several ships and boats are shown in the harbor. This map orginates from volume 1 of ‘Modern History, Or, The Present State of All Nations’ by T. Salmon. Illustrated by Herman Moll.

Condition: Very good, please study image carefully.
