Antique Print of the Smeroe volcano, mountains of Ijang, East Java ( made after Abraham Salm 1872 ).
A very fine mid-19th century Dutch chromolithograph of a village in the moutains of Ijang, East Java, in the back ground vulcano Smeroe, by Johan Grieve Jr., after paintings and drawings by Abraham Salm, a Surabaja merchant and tobacco planter of Malang, who spent twenty-one years of his life in Indonesia.
Excellent condition, a few small spots, measures 34,6 x 26 cm.
