Atlas of Indonesia – Stemfoort & Siethoff (c.1883-1885)

A large and most detailed atlas of Indonesia (former Dutch East Indies), published in 1883-1885.

This Atlas is commissioned by the Dutch Ministry of Colonies. Stemfoort and Siethoff reflects the topographical survey and the prosperous state of the Dutch colonies. It’s production was a government affair, and should be regarded as a follow up to the atlas by Melvill van Carnbée and Versteeg.
